The Shilling Family
I met the Shilling about a year ago as Brandi is the sister of a close friend of mine. They have a great family Ryan who is big time this year and starting first grade and Annabelle who's in Pre-K. I had so much fun watching the two of them looking for squirrels and amazed at everything around them! Mom, Dad and I had to be pretty fast to keep up with them but, I still managed to sneak up and get some cute shots of them! Their such cute kids it's kind of hard not to get cute shots of them...but they definitely made me work for the pictures today...lol. I love it though I'm always up for a challenge! Big thanks to Dad Mike, who has been a huge help in answering all my technical questions as I try to get my photography business going! I had a great time with them and look forward to capturing the kids as they get older and watching them grow!

Check her out on Facebook , http://moonlightcustomcakes.blogspot.com/ or www.moonlightcustomcakes.com! Michelle provided me with the smash cake for the below session. It was my daughter Elin's 1st birthday and she loved it! It was a perfect way to mark the special occation and made getting her pictures taken fun for her!
Please contact me if you would like to remember your child's 1st birthday with a special smash cake session !(Please note, the session does not need to take place by 9/30 just as long as the session is booked by 9/30! The session will also be slightly extended by roughly 15 minutes to allow the smash cake photos to take place at the end...after they have shown off their cute little outfit!)

Clay turns 2!
It was a perfect nigh tin Powell for Clay's 2 year photo session ...80 degrees, sunny and just a slight breeze. Ahhh! I met up with Clay and his Mom Jen (a close high school friend of mine) and away he went to explore the trails. Clay was such a riot making his Mom and I laugh the entire time talking gibberish, as he ran ahead of us and then turning to us smiling as if to say "catch me if you can" Since I have been friends with his Mom so long I would have to say his orneriness is probably her payback...in a good way. I have 3 ornery children myself and wouldn't trade their little personalities for the world...plus I'm pretty sure it's a little payback for me as well : ) I love being around children like Clay they make you smile, laugh and feel so care free. Kind of like being a kid again!

Bailey take 2!!
A week and a half ago I met with Bailey down at Scioto Park along with her Mom and Dad. Her session got cut a little short because it was just so humid. We decided it was best to get her indoors and let her sleep off the heat from her session. So I stopped in to see her after work today for a few minutes to snap a couple more photos of her in the comfort of her air conditioned home! Every photo session is important but, especially when your marking a milestone as Bailey was turning 6 months! I always want to capture as much as possible as the time passes much to fast.
As a Mom I know the excitment of wanting to get pictures back. I have found as a photographer I think I'm more excited to get the edited shots back to my clients as I know how exciting it is to see a finished product! So Alyssa and Dana I just couldn't help myself I had to start right in on these tonight! I had so much fun with her!!

"Remember when all we had to do was to keep our ponytails straight and catch fireflies?" - Author Unknown
Meet Shawni, a sweet energetic 8 year old girl I had the pleasure of doing a session for at Scioto Park. I had so much fun with her and she kept me laughing through the entire session! Being with her reminded me of when I was younger...seemed like it was just yesterday. She so girl y and talkative and absolutely loved to pose for the camera. I had to be creative to get any candid shots with this girl but I snuck a couple in on her!!
Luckily she posed like a little model : ) Just look at her a real natural!

"She is everything that is perfect wrapped in a tiny bundle" - Unknown
Bailey is just that, a perfect tiny bundle! I met up with Bailey, her Mom Alyssa and Dad Dana at Scioto Park for her 6 month session. She is an absolute doll and you can tell she has both Mommy and Daddy wrapped around those tiny little fingers of hers!
I loved seeing her show off that sweet little smile! You can tell she loves her Mom and Dad, as she was most happy when one of them was holding her!
Poor thing not only was it hot but she's teething and just didn't want to stop gumming on those sweet little fingers of hers!
I see beauiful blue eyes often however, I loved the way hers caught the light. They are solid blue and reflect like a mirror!I loved seeing her show off that sweet little smile! You can tell she loves her Mom and Dad, as she was most happy when one of them was holding her!

"A man loves his sweetheart the most, his wife the best, but his mother the longest" - Irish Proverb
I am a big fan of quotes and proverbs so I thought why not start to incorporate them in my blog (Thus the title of this blog : )!
I chose this Irsh proverb because it's so fitting for Lindsay and Gavin! This boy LOVES his Mama! He's a typical 4 year old boy who gives her a hard time from time to time but really what child doesn't give their parents a hard time!
I enjoyed our time at Innis Woods Park together. Lindsay and I let Gavin lead us around the park so he could explore while I took photos. It was so fun...everything about this session was like looking through the eyes of a 4 year old as he would stop and ask questions about everything we saw...I loved it!

Lindsay looked beautiful and I loved the shoes so much I had to take a picture! You would never guess Lindsay is a small town girl....she looks more like she stepped straight out of "Sex in the City"!
By the time we left the park it was probably 90 degress but somehow Lindsay and Gavin still looked great and put together while I looked like I had just stepped out of the shower. Despite the heat I had so much fun exploring with them today! Thanks Lindsay and Gavin!!!
