There's nothing I love more then capturing moments of my own children... I will say, there is also nothing within the realm of photography that is more difficult, at least for me. There are those rare moments when they forget that I have my camera out and they start to play with each other, act silly or just begin to embrace the fact that for that moment my camera isn't going anywhere so they decide to let loose! Those moments are when I capture my children (my daughter in this case) as I did in the image below. The tulle dress is so beautiful and she has a beautiful custom piece in her hair that was designed and made by Freckles & Curls. I thought for sure I was going to get a shot of the beautiful detailing in the dress and really show off the hair piece that was made to go with it. Instead I ended up with this shot, dress all over the place and a not so great shot of the hair piece...but, her expression...her expression is I think, the way she will always be frozen in my mind as a little girl. Happy, sweet, ornery and so much more...all of which make her my little girl! She knows how to drive me crazy but also knows how to melt my heart. In short I love this picture of my baby!

I had to post a closer shot of the custom piece that was made by Freckles and Curls. I'm telling you if you haven't been to her Facebook page to check out her pieces you must! They are beautiful and more then reasonably priced! I will definitely be back to get more!!

  1. Hi Heather- love those pictures! She is precious! Do you have a website that lists your pricing information/session info or could you shoot me an email. I'm interested in taking some family shots ( I have a 1 1/2 year old) that we could send out for Christmas cards.

    Thanks!
